Do you have what it takes to achieve your fitness/health goals?
Do you ever ask yourself this question? Sometimes this question goes through my mind when I meet new clients. “Does this person really have what it takes?” It may not be a silly question to ask yourself.
I started thinking about what questions you can ask yourself in order to work it out and this is what I came up with.
1. Are you capable of setting appropriate goals for yourself, short as well as long-term goals?
2. Are you disciplined?
3. Do you tend to “give up” or “keep going” when things are a bit challenging?
4. Do you stay focused until you have reached your desired result?
5. Will you do whatever it takes to achieve your goals or just what feels “right” or “comfortable” for you?
6. Do you have stamina (both mentally & physically) to keep going even when it gets a bit tuff?
7. How determined are you?
8. Have you got a support person that can “help” you through those tuff times?
9. Are you organized and good at planning things in advance?
10. Do you believe/think you will achieve your goals?
11. Can you see yourself having achieved your goals?
I think these questions are critical for you to ask yourself in order to get a true picture of your behaviors and your nature. If you answered, “YES” to most of these questions you are much more likely to achieve you fitness goals. If you answered “NO” to some of them, it might be a wise idea to find help in these areas, resources or people i.e. Personal Trainer or Life coach who can help you.
Good Luck to you!
